- Brief description
Corporate management is characterised by the objective of aligning and developing the company within the existing market environment and other framework conditions in such a way that it can compete successfully in the long term. In particular, this requires a wide range of strategic and cross-divisional decisions by the company management. In addition to the selection of sustainable strategies based on the results of analyses and evaluations, this includes above all efficient financing and collateralisation. In primary agricultural production, debt financing is predominant. This is the subject of the module, alongside the concept of strategic management.

- Linkage to other modules
The module is an essential prerequisite for managing an agricultural business, taking on other management tasks in companies in the sector, working in consulting or in the banking sector. In addition, attendance of the Sustainable Management module (Prof. Dr Matthias Kussin and Prof. Dr Karin Schnitker) is recommended. The modules with Prof Dr Recke, Business Administration 1 and 2 are also well suited.
Furthermore, attending this module is a good basic requirement for further modules such as "Entrepreneurship and Finance" (Prof. Dr Karin Schnitker) in order to found a company or to strategically diversify your own company. This is where the practical implementation begins. This is why the module "Project Innovation Management and Future Skills" (Prof. Dr Karin Schnitker and Prof. Dr Sabine Bornkessel) is also well suited, as its content focuses on the development and implementation of innovations in practice and is interdisciplinary in nature.
