Brief description

All living organisms carried a genetic code, which control their growth and development. A primary understanding and knowledge of genetics (gene variation), their molecular and functional regulations as well as their role in the evolution of new biological diversity, is essential for the students of biological and agricultural sciences. Such diversity is a key resource for plant breeding innovations in establishing improved crop varieties. This module will primarily focus on the fundamental principles and mechanisms behind genetics and their linkages in the art and science of plant breeding.
