Special features of the module

The regional, national or international excursions offered by lecturers usually take place during the designated excursion week in the winter or summer semester or during the lecture-free period.

Conferences and trade fairs can be attended all year round.

Brief description

The excursions and conferences module is an important addition to the regular courses throughout the studies. 
In this module, students are shown the various technical aspects and global interrelationships using the example of companies in the agricultural sector (agriculture, horticulture), the food industry, plant technology, bioprocess engineering as well as research institutions and advisory services.

Teaching and learning outcomes

Excursions to companies, practical operations and testing, consulting and research facilities in the respective industry relevant to the degree program offer students the opportunity to get to know products, production and working methods as well as the challenges of the respective companies, operations and facilities.

The regional, national and international excursions offered by specialist lecturers usually take place during the designated excursion week in the winter or summer semester or during the lecture-free period.

As part of this module, students also have the opportunity to attend internal and external specialist conferences and events.
