During a semester abroad, Bachelor modules worth 20 credit points must be taken at an accredited university abroad.
- Teaching and learning outcomes
The Bachelor modules to be included complement the content of the degree program in a meaningful way. For this purpose, the selected modules are displayed with a learning agreement before the start of the study abroad and approved by the person responsible for the semester abroad.
- Overall workload
The total workload for the module is 750 hours (see also "ECTS credit points and grading").

Examination forms vary according to the chosen modules and requirements of the university abroad.
The modules completed abroad are combined and recognized as a package in the "Semester Abroad" module. If fewer than 20 CP are acquired at the university abroad, up to 5 CP can be earned through a comparable internationally oriented bachelor's module at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences as a substitute.

Examination forms vary according to the chosen modules and requirements of the university abroad.
- Knowledge Broadening
After studying for a semester at a university abroad, students demonstrate new specialist knowledge of objectives and facts related to the field of their study programme.
- Knowledge deepening
Students can draw connections between their new subject-related knowledge gained through their semester abroad and their prior knowledge in the field of their study programme. They can compare and contrast their study experiences in different cultural and institutional contexts.
- Knowledge Understanding
Through the semester abroad, students can critcally reflect on how approaches to knowledge and subject matter vary according to the cultural context of study. They can sythesize their learning outcomes in preparation for their bachelor?s thesis.
- Application and Transfer
Students apply the practical self-management and project-organizational skills in coordinating and completing the semester abroad. They can critically evaluate the specialist knowledge aquired in the course of their study abroad, as well as their use of knowledge and skills across cultural and institutional contexts
