Brief description

Planing and consulting in using agricultural technics in a farming environment. Students are learning to understand, evaluate and to select a appropriate solution to fullfill the requirements set. A system approach allows to assess conceivable options for best practise. 

Teaching and learning outcomes

Student groups are working together on individul technical questions and are going to assess these systematically. Issues are usually derifed out of practical questions and could be own (on farm) questions or provided from the lecturer.

The total workload for the module is 150 hours (see also "ECTS credit points and grading").

Comprehensive literature reviews and working in groups are the base of the exam commitment.

Written thesis (essay), presentation of results in front of other students 

Exam duration and scope

about 10-15 pages written text plus 10-15 min oral presentation in front of students

Recommended prior knowledge

Content of the technical modules in other courses; such as Agricultural Science, Plant Technology or Gardening are recommended.

Students are capable of consulting, selecting and planing technical methods. They know relevant literature and networks.

Studends gain a sustainable knowledge in project topics they selected and are able to configure systems and assess them either economical or ecologic.
