- 1990 to 1997: working for the Hannover Public Waterworks in the fields of Hydrology and Groundwater protection: - Establishment of an groundwater quality advisory scheme for agriculture and horticulture in a water protection area of 15.000 ha arable land - Development of a water catchment management system using a Geographical Information System to store and evaluate all relevant data on soil, geology, hydrology and land holdings - Applications for water rights and water protection zones
