Study abroad

There is the possibility of completing a practical phase abroad; this requires early planning by the students. In addition, excursions abroad can be taken as part of the block week offers.

Practical phases

During the course of the course, an 8 or 10-week practical phase, which is coordinated by the hiring authority, takes place every semester after a theoretical phase.

Features

During their studies, the students are civil servants on revocation and receive candidate salaries from their employing authority in accordance with the civil service regulations. After successful completion, Osnabrück University awards the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). In addition, the Lower Saxony career qualification for career group 2, the first entry-level position in the field of general services (formerly higher service), is acquired. Acquiring this career qualification opens up a career path as a civil servant.
