Bioengineering in Agriculture and Food Industries (B.Sc.)

Program structure

Structure of the program

The practice-oriented degree program is offered jointly by the agricultural and engineering faculties.

In the first three semesters, the focus is on the basics of natural science and process technologies as well as economic aspects.

From the fourth semester, you choose one of two specializations: Biomass Utilization, concentrating on the production and utilization of biomass as reusable material, or Process Plants which deals with the application and design of bioprocessing plants.

Depending on your interests and preferences, you may put special emphasis on individual subjects by selecting from a list of electives.

In every semester, block weeks are organized giving room for special activities, such as excursions or conferences, outside the normal course of studies.

Through project work (in the fourth and fifth semester) and an internship project in the last semester you are prepared, step by step, for everyday professional life.
