Managing Social Change! Your Bachelor’s Degree for the Public and Nonprofit Sectors

Do you want to help shape society and make a difference in people’s quality of life?” We’ll equip you with the expertise you need to make a meaningful contribution in the public sector and in nonprofit organizations (NPOs)—all with professional management skills! To do this, you’ll need more than just traditional business administration. In our program, you’ll study three disciplines in a single degree: economics, politics, and law. During your advanced studies, you’ll have many options to choose from and can pursue your individual interests. Available subjects include:

?    Human Resources Management
?    Controlling
?    Law and Politics of the European Union
?    City Marketing and Tourism
?    Sustainability Management
?    International Relations
?    and many more…

Through our projects, internships, and field trips, you can apply your theoretical knowledge and build valuable connections with professional organizations that will help you launch your career. A voluntary semester abroad is also an option! The Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, maintains ties with over 170 partner universities around the world. This allows you to develop intercultural skills in addition to acquiring language skills and knowledge.

The career paths are as diverse as the public and nonprofit sectors themselves: management positions in cultural and educational institutions, in NPOs in the social and environmental sectors, in consulting firms, in city marketing and economic development agencies, as well as in politics and public administration, to name just a few.

Former students regularly present their career paths, giving you a sense of the many professional opportunities available. You can find some examples on our website.

Interested? We’d be happy to advise you on the program and/or arrange a trial day so you can sit in on lectures and meet faculty and students! We look forward to hearing from you! (oem@hs-osnabrueck.de/0541 969 3054)
