Features of the degree program Communication and Management

The four-semester Master degree program in Communications and Management prepares students for management positions in the area of strategic organizational communication.

Today we are experiencing many changes - digitalization and artificial intelligence are influencing our working world in many ways (“New Work”). In addition, there are further developments in politics, business, and society. These changes create new demands for communication and organizational management. The Communications and Management Master’s degree program incorporates these current requirements and, in addition to providing specialized knowledge, conveys communication competencies that enable students to act, e.g. in crisis, transformation, and change management processes.

Communications and management competence is taught in conjunction with the areas of internal and external communication, communication planning and controlling, corporate management, organizational psychology, human resource management, and other topics.

In the degree program, emphasis is also placed on a close link between science and practice. In this spirit, students are constantly encouraged to discuss the application of the theoretical subject matter and test them in case studies and practical projects. Guest lecturers from professional world provide students with insights into current issues and challenges in the different professional fields.

The Master’s degree program in Communications and Management is also characterized by small study groups and a personal atmosphere. This offers an ideal space for experience-based learning and thus an optimal basis for starting a career.
