How to apply
Application Guidelines
The program begins each year in the winter semester (starting in September).
No admission restrictions means: There is no selection process. All applicants who meet the requirements for admission to the program (a university degree qualifying for a profession and, if applicable, additional program-specific entry requirements) and submit an application for enrollment will be granted a study place. The application for enrollment is submitted through the university's application portal.
Application deadline for enrollment (for non-restricted programs):
- For applicants with German educational qualifications: May to September 1 (cut-off date)
- For applicants with foreign educational qualifications: Please refer to the application deadlines on the uni-assist website.

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the Master's program in Musculoskeletal Therapy (Manual Therapy – OMPT), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- State-recognized qualification as a physiotherapist
- University degree in a health-related field
- Applicants with a degree obtained abroad must provide proof of German language proficiency at DSH 2/C1 level.
In addition, by the start of the first semester, you must also provide evidence of the following entry requirements:
- Typically, at least one year of full-time professional experience or equivalent part-time work over a minimum of two years after your first university degree
- Proof of English language proficiency at the university's Level 3 (CEF B1); if this proof is not available at the time of application, applicants may be enrolled conditionally and must provide proof of the required level by the end of the second semester.
